I will be in hospital for hip surgery and then in a rehab center for a couple of weeks. Welcome to Your On Line Model Trains Store. We sell model trains at discount prices, and lots of them, plus accessories and track! We have designed our web site for your ease in finding any item we have in stock. You'll find a wide selection of name brands, including companies whose products are "Made In America". These include Funaro & Camerlengo, Accurail, Micro-Trains, Kadee Couplers and Fox Valley Models. Check out the two new F&C kits, items 8180 and 8182, which are 8000 gallon High Rail tank cars with decals for Texaco and Magnolia. We show some in the right side banner, plus the green N&W Atlas PS-2.

If you live in the Tidewater Area of Virginia or are visiting Virginia Beach, you are invited to visit our model railroad club to enjoy watching us run HO scale trains for the public. There is no charge and we do not sell items. Children are welcome and when appropriate, we have them run the trains and blow the whistle. We'll even run Thomas for them.  We have a 16' x 50' Double Track Main Line Layout with a 20' x 20' Single Track Branch Line off of it.  We are normally open from 10-2 every Wednesday and 10-4 each Saturday. So come on in to The Tidewater Modular Railroad Club. We are located in The Fairfield Shopping Center on the corner of Kempsville and Providence Roads, just to the right of Rite Aid. There's a sign above our door, The Train Junction. There is a McDonalds near us. See you at the Train Club. NEW MANTUA CLASSICS FREIGHT CARS JUST ARRIVED AND ARE LISTED AT JUST $8.95 EACH. Nice cars for the price with body mounted coil spring knuckle couplers and metal axles. Eighteen different models available, but only two of each available.

MICRO-TRAINS started a new reefer series in May and will release one new car each month for 12 months. We will feature them and have already taken orders for the first car, which is a Berkshire Ham car as shown on the right. The cars will be available in N and Z scale. If you miss out on the first car it may be difficult to later get a whole set.  Check them out under Micro-Trains.

Check out the smooth running Western Maryland S4 (above right). It is DCC with sound for only $104.95. We also have it for the Erie Railroad, Union Pacific and New York Central Railroads. Details under locomotives for Bachmann. Also, Bachmann's new Baltimore & Ohio EM-1 2-8-8-4 and sound modules are in stock and ready to ship. We are offering this "big, beautiful" steam engine at a discount of $330.00 with the sound module, and in the local area, pick it up and save postage. Also, Bachmann has a new 2-6-0 and a new Alco FA2 and FB2, all with DCC and sound. These engines are available with or without sound, but we ordered only the sound versions because that's what has been requested. Bachmann has raised prices on the EM-1 by $40. The current MSRP is $$584.00 with the sound module. Our price is a bargain.

THE SECOND RUN OF THE FOX VALLEY ready-to-run B&O M-53 Wagontop Boxcars in both HO and N Scale is due this Spring. In that run there's a blue Express car and other B&O styles and eras. Each design is available for pre-order in HO and N scale. They are listed under Fox Valley. Fox will also have more GE ES44AC N scale diesels, including the CSX "Spirit of Cincinnati". We have the Digitrax and Train Control Systems decoders in stock to make these locos DCC.

Valley Railroad Model Trains is an internet hobby shop devoted to HO and N scale railroad hobbyists. We carry a large selection of rolling stock and will special order items for you when appropriate.
